A little European robin for the sketchbook. It’s amazing how you don’t notice ALL the colors in a bird until you stop to paint them.
Also known as the robin or robin redbreast in Great Britain. Which, fun fact, robins were named for their redbreast before the color orange became known in the 16th century when the fruit was introduced, and thus, the color name.🍊
Also, in American literature of the late 19th century, these are frequently called English robins, but that name does not suit here.
